QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED A LOT
Can I clear a former tenant's belongings straight away?
Not immediately. Under Scottish law you need to make reasonable, documented efforts to contact the tenant and give them a chance to collect their things first. Once that has been done, we can clear the property and give you photos and a transfer note to keep with your records.
Can I claim the clearance cost from the tenancy deposit?
Often yes, if the tenancy agreement allows it and you can show what was left and what it cost. Our before and after photos, itemised invoice and waste transfer note give the deposit scheme the evidence it usually asks for.
Do you work with letting agents?
Yes. Agents can book on behalf of landlords, arrange key collection and have the invoice addressed to the landlord or the agency, whichever suits.
How much does an end of tenancy clearance cost?
It depends on how much has been left and how easy the access is. Send photos and we will quote a firm price before we start, with no extras on the day.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Envirocycle is a SEPA-registered waste carrier (WCR/R/3021188). As the landlord you have a duty of care to use a licensed carrier, and the transfer note we provide is your proof that you did.
